Hayabusa Training Centre Announces
Robert Drysdale Affiliation
Hayabusa Training Centre Ltd. announced today that it has joined the revered Drysdale Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Network.
Drysdale was instrumental during the development of the Hayabusa gi, during which time he formed a professional relationship and personal friendship with HTC owner Luke Harris. After hosting Drysdale for a seminar at the club and accepting an invitation to attend his 2012 Pan Am Camp at his main academy in Las Vegas, Harris decided that becoming a Drysdale affiliate was the right fit for his booming gym.
"Robert Drysdale is one of the most highly accomplished BJJ practitioners today and a trainer of several top UFC fighters,” Harris said Tuesday. “We feel that we share a common philosophy on teaching and professional practice."
Drysdale’s network includes over 30 schools worldwide in locales like Australia, Brazil, Canada, Greece, Poland, Ireland and the United States. With the partnership, HTC will have access to a global community of support schools and a proven standardized BJJ curriculum. Drysdale and some of his top instructors and students will also regularly travel to the club to teach seminars. Harris says he feels that the benefits of the new relationship will be enormous.
“I’m excited to join Robert’s network of affiliates,” Harris said. “I think it’s just what we needed to continue to offer the students at Hayabusa the best instruction and cutting edge techniques from one of the best instructors and jiu jitsu practitioners on the planet.”
