Jimmo & Clarke Added to UFC Winnipeg Card
“The Big Deal” Ryan Jimmo (17-2) will be fighting Igor Pokrajac (25-9). After scoring the Knockout of the Year at UFC 149. Jimmo suffered his first loss since his 2007 MMA debut. He will be looking to improve his record to 2-1 in the UFC with a win over Pokrajac. Pokrajac is coming into the fight with two consecutive defeats although his last one was overturned to a no contest following Joey Beltran’s positive drug test.
The two fights join a Bantamweight title main event and a fight card that already includes Rashad Evans, Dan Henderson, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Shogun Rua, and more.
Tickets for UFC 161 will go on sale on Friday, April 12 and presale for UFC 161 will be on Wednesday, April 10 for Fight Club members.
The UFC has confirmed that Canada’s Mitch Clarke and Ryan Jimmo will be on the UFC 161 card in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
It will be one month shy of a year since Mitch Clarke (9-2) last fought for the UFC. Clarke, who will be fighting John Maguire, lost to Anton Kuivanen at UFC 149 in Calgary in July 2012. Clarke suffered a knee injury in that bought but now is ready to take on Maguire, who will be debuting at Lightweight. It will be do or die for both Maguire and Clarke as both are coming into the June 15th matchup with two consecutive UFC losses.
