Jiu-Jitsu results
Students from the Hayabusa Training Centre, a mixed martial arts gym in Campbell Business Park, achieved podium results at the second annual Rocky Mountain Classic jiu-jitsu tournament last weekend in Calgary.
Overall, 38 medals (13 gold, 16 silver and nine bronze), were awarded to Hayabusa competitors in a variety of divisions and several were multiple medallists.
The adult team results included first in NoGi and third in Gi.
The medal winners are as follows.
Kids division: Gabriel Brown, Jackson Brown, Leia Brown, Aidan Gresik, Shawn Isaak-Mercier and Ryan Ungstad.
Teen division: Brett Dudar, Seth Nobert and Jett Poliquin.
Adult division: Kenny Bhullar, KB Bhullar, Rocky Biggs, Taylor Brasko, Ryan Brown, Thane Forrest, Chris Gaudet, Garret Nybakken, Graham Okerman, Greg Ricker, Kevin Pook, Pat Pytilk and Jimmi Sanchez.
