Canadian Nick Penner vs. Eddie Mendez added to UFC on FX 6 in Australia

Canadian light-heavyweight Nick Penner fights in Australia yet again, as he faces newcomer Eddie Mendez at UFC on FX 6, which also serves as the finale for The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes, the first Australian version of the TUF franchise.
Penner (11-2) signed with the UFC earlier this year after winning eight straight fights, six via stoppage. However, Penner enters the fight coming off of a loss to Anthony Perosh in his promotional debut. Nick had been expected to return over the summer, but was sidelined with an injury.
He’ll now face Mendez (7-0-1), who is a Strikeforce veteran making his UFC debut.
UFC on FX 6 airs on December 14th (15th in Australia), and the preliminary card will be broadcast on FUEL TV (Sportsnet in Canada)
